“Cousins-Right at Your Fingertips! Using the SKCGS Surname List”

One of the more frequently visited pages on our website is the Surname List. This is the digitized version of the box of 3 x 5 index cards to which people have been contributing for several years. A list of this sort is a great opportunity to find others who are researching the same families as you. MaryLynn will briefly show how the list works and how you can contribute your requests and share your information with others!

MaryLynn Strickland has been a member of South King County Genealogical Society since 2003. She has been involved with several of the society’s special interest groups from technology to photos and DNA. She has written several items for the SKCGS blog and volunteers at the GenHelp desk at the Burien branch of the King County Library System. She is a graduate of Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana, with a background in music education, English and history. She has been researching her family history since 2001 when she took on the task of updating the history completed by a relative in 1960.
